From a teacher/education perspective Slideshare is a very valuable resource. Not only does it provide access to a wide array of subject material but it also functions as an interactive mechanism where ideas and information can be shared by individuals and a wide array of institutions.
Of course it can also function as a depository system to store material on a more personal basis. Well worth signing up for what is a really useful and free resource.

- I am a Lecturer at a college in North Staffordshire where my main interests are focused on learning technologies and associated applications. Presently undertaking a part-time teacher study visit position at Pembroke College and completing the 23 Things Cambridge as part of my ongoing interest in the area of Web 2.0 and social media. I have always found libraries to be captivating places and see the advancement of technology within them as being complementary to their future progression. I still have a fascination with books and the printed word and believe that both modes have a place in the future.
